What a month! : )

Ava turned 2 months old yesterday and if she could talk I'm sure she'd say, "Whew...what a busy month it's been!" ; ) So much has happened since we last updated...

MILESTONES
Ava has started to coo and "talk". It's SO precious! She also interacts much more...she'll smile if you smile at her and coax her a bit. She has discovered the wonders of the Baby Einstein floor gym, she goes to town kicking away in her boucer and she can even hold a little baby key ring for 5 to 10 minutes. She holds her head up better and better every day. She still hates tummy-time, but she's starting to build up those biceps. One sad milestone (for Mommy, that is) was Ava's first immunizations. : ( She got those today and Mommy cried all morning. : ( She was a trooper though (good thing Daddy was there to be Ava and Mommy's support system)!

MEETING FAMILY
This past month, for the first time, Ava got to meet her Grandpa Ubowski, her great Grandma and Grandpa Ubowski, her Uncle Jason, her Uncle Nate, her soon-to-be Aunt Mariesa, her Aunt Samantha and her Aunt Nyisha. She also got to meet her great Grandma and Grandpa Davis. Ava loved all the attention she got from everyone...so many people around to cuddle her and hold her (can't say that Mommy and Daddy minded the extra help, too!). : ) Ava misses all of them, terribly!

BAPTISM
We would have to say the highlight of Ava's month would have to be her Baptism. Her Grandpa Ubowski (Adam's dad) performed the ceremony and did a wonderful job of making it a very spiritual and memorable occasion. Ava's Nana Ubowski, and Grandma & Grandpa Ensley also helped out with the ceremony, and Uncle Andrew played the piano and sang for everyone. Ava was thrilled that her Godparents Aunt Stefania and Uncle Jason came all the way from Colorado to support her in her entry into the Catholic faith. It meant so much to all of us to have all our family come from so far away to celebrate this joyous time with us. We are so blessed and grateful to have such wonderful family!!!


Well, after such a busy month, it's taken us about a week to regroup...we've had some routine and feeding set-backs (more details on Mommy's blog when she has time), but we're hanging in there and trying to gather good advice and form a plan for Mommy's return to work. Please pray for us! We feel like we're a bit in over our heads, especially since we've definitely never done this before! We appreciate all the support we get from our family and friends.
